Guys, Thanks so much for brekky two day in a row this last weekend. What an awesome place, great food, awesome staff, amazing atmosphere. Even under immense pressure from the sheer volume of people you managed to give prompt service with a smile. The food is amazing!!!! THANKS!!!! Go the Russians!!!!!

Visited Rotorua and wanted a nice place to have lunch we walked through the town didn’t see anything much and then whammo we stumbled across Fat Dog Cafe the food was very creatively presented and the taste was awesome and the service was friendly and food was out within 5 minutes even though the cafe was full. Before we chowed down our food we took pics and it went straight onto facebook for all our friends and family to enjoy with us or for them to envy us :) well done Fat Dog Cafe

We’ve just had a 3 night stay in Rotorua, and ended up eating here both Fri and Sunday nights! Awesome food, heaps of it, nice and hot, and friendly folks. On the Sunday night we rocked up at 5 to 9 (5 minutes before they officially closed) as had been to the pools and needed food NOW! They had our meals to us in less than 10 minutes and as per Friday night, very yummy! My partner even had the same thing both nights he enjoyed it so much ;) Will definitely go back next time we’re up there.

Have visited the cafe on couple of occasions, when visiting the area. My wife and I are from Australia, and have family in Auckland. We have made a couple of trips to Rotorua when we have been on holidays and always have lunch on our last day here. Our recent visit was last xmas, and it was fantastic as always and our family visit here when they are in the area. Anyone wanting a value for money meal, check it out, awesome menu, awesome food, awesome service. Also, the walls of the toilets are very interesting!!! :)

There are so many facets to Fat Dog and everyone of them starting with Simon, Marty, James and Justin… and all the little female puppies… are just fantastic. It’s warm, cozy, friendly, familiar, the coffee is the best in Rotorua and the food extraordinary. Try the caramel slice or the carrot cake. Awesome.

Fantastic service, fantastic food, wedges are yummmmmmy and the kids love the little fluffies :)

This place is amazing, we had the most fantastic breakfast, and such friendly staff, just a shame we live on the other side of the world!! Check out the tee shirts, I’m addicted to the dog, awesome!

Really great place to eat, great atmosphere, cool people. Highly recommended.
